FAT DRAWINGS

These drawings are from an ongoing study of fat characters and tropes in cartoons and comics. I love cartoons and comics. They are an unpretentious and accessible art form. I began with cartoons from my childhood which is when most of us are exposed to cartoons and comics. However, my research has branched out far past this starting point. I want to show the endless amount of anti-fat narratives, tropes, and portrayals depicted in cartoons for those who are unaware of how exhausting it is as a fat person to be the fat butt of the joke, hated, villainized, humiliated, shamed, neglected, ignored, gaslit, exploited and more.

All drawings are for sale unless specified otherwise.
